Kara...

Part of learning more about photography, is stepping outside your comfort zone.  And for me taking photos of anything other than 1 kid and stationary objects is stepping out of my comfort zone.  I happened to be watching a Film episode from Framed Network about directing subjects, and it occurred to me how much I'd like to give that a go.  So a quick call to my very obliging friend Katrina, and next thing I know, I'm taking photos, and directing.  Thank goodness for friends.  I muddled through, and while there is lots of room for improvement, it was not nearly as scary as I thought it would be.

the best camera you have is the one with you.

There are days when I really don't want to lug my big heavy camera around.  But I want to take photos.  Part of the problem is I haven't found a photography app for my iPhone that I've really liked...that is, until today.  It's called VSCO Cam.  And not only is it incredibly easy to use, but I also love the results.

baby on board.

It's not something I've had much experience with, but I got to photograph my lovely friend Linda and her beautiful baby bump.  She's such a natural in front of the camera, and is quite literally glowing with happiness.  What a beautiful mama-to-be, inside and out.
